Hi @gourav27

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

That sounds frustrating, especially since it disrupts your workflow every time you resume from sleep mode. This issue has been reported by other OMEN 16 users, often linked to driver conflicts or power management settings.

Let's go through some steps to stabilize your system.

Troubleshooting Steps

Step 1: Disable Fast Startup

  1. Open Control Panel > Power Options.
  2. Click Choose what the power buttons do.
  3. Select Change settings that are currently unavailable.
  4. Uncheck Turn on fast startup.
  5. Restart your laptop and test sleep mode.

Step 2: Update Graphics & Chipset Drivers

  1. Visit HP’s support page and download the latest BIOS, chipset, and GPU drivers.
  2. Install them and restart your laptop.
  3. If the issue persists, try rolling back the GPU driver to a previous version.

Step 3: Adjust Power Settings

  1. Open Device Manager → Expand Display Adapters.
  2. Right-click your GPU → Select Properties.
  3. Under Power Management, uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
  4. Apply changes and restart.

Step 4: Disable Hybrid Sleep

  1. Open Control Panel > Power Options.
  2. Click Change plan settings for your active power plan.
  3. Select Change advanced power settings.
  4. Expand Sleep > Allow hybrid sleep and set it to Off.

Hopefully, we can get your OMEN 16 running smoothly again.
