Hi @mdnewcastle

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

You're being incredibly thorough in troubleshooting this issue, and that persistence is going to pay off! Since your HP 27" All-in-One Desktop suddenly lost power and won’t turn on, here are some steps to try:

Check the Power Connection

  • Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the wall outlet and the desktop.
  • Try a different power outlet or power adapter if available.

Perform a Hard Reset

  • Disconnect the power cord and hold the power button for 30 seconds to discharge residual power.
  • Reconnect the power cord and try turning it on.

Inspect for Power Indicator Lights

  • If your desktop has a power LED, check if it lights up when plugged in.
  • If there’s no response, the power supply or motherboard may need inspection.

Reseat Internal Components (if comfortable opening the case)

  • Remove the back panel and reseat the RAM and CMOS battery.
  • Some users have reported success by resetting the CMOS battery.

You're doing a great job troubleshooting this—let me know how it goes! 🚀

Thanks for your suggestions.

I have tried everything as you say.

As i said ,no power comes to motherboard or pc light always off.

i have recently paid£21.40 on the phone to them.

i have one year warranty extended and put this pc into the list.

they never contact or no message.

I have been nearly 40 years hp customer . completely dissappointed.

You can not trust anybody now .

I’m really sorry to hear that, especially after your long history as an HP customer. It’s frustrating when a device fails and support doesn’t meet expectations, especially after extending the warranty.

Given the situation, I'm sending you a private message to guide you on the next steps.

To access it, click the private message icon in the upper-right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your name.

If this resolves your issue, kindly mark this post as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" if it was helpful.

Take care and have a great day!
