@ANUADE, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding How to Turn On Your Keyboard Backlight on HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-d5000!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

To enable the keyboard backlight on your HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-d5000 series, follow the steps below:

Locate the backlight key: Look for the backlight icon on the keyboard key, which is usually found on the F5 or F4 key.

Press the backlight key: Press the key with the backlight icon (it might look like an illuminated keyboard). This should toggle the backlight on or off.

Check the brightness settings: If the backlight does not turn on, try holding down the fn key (usually located at the bottom-left of the keyboard) while pressing the backlight key.

If your laptop model supports keyboard backlighting but the feature does not activate, you might need to check the keyboard settings through the HP Support Assistant or the BIOS settings.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
