Following Poly's announcement that the VVX, Edge B, and OBi300 devices are no longer available for purchase from HP/Poly, I wanted to open a discussion about our future options for Google Voice compatible desk phones.
 
This news means that as of October 2024:
  • Official support for Poly VVX series with Google Voice has ended.
  • Google Voice has not yet announced a direct replacement line of widely supported third-party desk phones.
Given this situation, I'm curious to know if anyone has information regarding potential future Poly desk phones that will be compatible with Google Voice. Alternatively, are there specific alternative IP phone models that are known to work well with the platform?
 
Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated as we plan our next steps.
