Attempting to update the Poly Clariti Core Edge (in Edge mode) but having trouble.

Found the problem in 10.3.3.1, upgrading to 10.3.4.1 did not resolve the problem.

The certificate is working for the web browser but it’s sending a zero byte size certificate for SIP signaling on tcp/5061 which results in the remote side responding with “Bad Certificate”.  This is true the moment I replace the current functioning cert.  It doesn't matter if I upload a new cert or tell the system to "Revert to Default Certificate"

I've opened multiple tickets and currently waiting for an escalation through the reseller as I can't reach support but thought I would toss this idea over to this community.

From the packet capture:

Poly CCE responding with zero byte certificate:

Transport Layer Security
TLSv1.2 Record Layer: Handshake Protocol: Certificate
Content Type: Handshake (22)
Version: TLS 1.2 (0x0303)
Length: 7
Handshake Protocol: Certificate
Handshake Type: Certificate (11)
Length: 3
Certificates Length: 0

Remote Side responding with "Bad Certificate":

Transport Layer Security
TLSv1.2 Record Layer: Alert (Level: Fatal, Description: Bad Certificate)
Content Type: Alert (21)
Version: TLS 1.2 (0x0303)
Length: 2
Alert Message
Level: Fatal (2)
Description: Bad Certificate (42)

Does anyone work in Poly Support anymore?  I have two cases open, in 'new' status since last week with about 4 folks with hp.com email addresses added by the sales team and no response yet what so ever...

Hello @bbrianb ,

welcome to the HP Poly community.

the HP Community is not directly connected to HP Poly support. Volunteers answer questions and agents may offer advice.

If you issue requires support to look at I suggest you work with Support and our global organization. Volunteers like me are unable to help directly but if you share a ticket reference I can look into it.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
